Befekir Kebede Photography | One way of celebrating community life for Ethiopians in Australia has been, for nearly two decades, to hold a once yearly soccer and cultural festival. The tradition started in the multicultural stronghold state of Melbourne and managed to have its presence in other Australian states as well. It has always been held during December’s last week and it just wrapped up its 2010 celebrations. I went to attend the second last day of the festival and brought with me these memories.
